Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: August 2026

1. How to Cancel

Send your cancellation in writing to moroccotouroffer@gmail.com. Please include the lead traveller's name and your tour dates so we can identify the booking quickly.

The date we receive your written notice is the date the cancellation takes effect. A message to a driver-guide or a verbal cancellation over the phone does not start the clock — please always put it in writing.

2. What Happens to Your Deposit

Your deposit is not a fee we keep for ourselves. It covers the commitments we make on your behalf the moment you book — rooms held at riads and hotels, places at desert camps, and guides and drivers reserved for your dates.

How much of it can be returned therefore depends on how far ahead you cancel and on what those suppliers have already committed. The terms that apply to your booking are stated in your written confirmation before you pay anything, so you always know the position in advance.

If you are ever unsure what applies to your booking, ask us before you pay the deposit and we will put it in writing.

3. The Balance

The balance is due shortly before or upon arrival, as stated in your confirmation. If you cancel before the balance falls due, you do not owe it.

4. Leaving a Tour Early

If you choose to end a tour early, or do not use part of it — a night at a camp, an excursion, a transfer — we cannot refund the unused portion, because the accommodation and staff for those days have already been paid for on your behalf.

If leaving early is caused by illness or an emergency, your travel insurance is the route to recovering those costs, which is why we ask every traveller to hold a policy.

5. Changing Instead of Cancelling

If your plans move rather than disappear, tell us — moving dates is very often cheaper for you than cancelling and rebooking. Because every tour is private, we can usually rebuild the same itinerary around new dates.

Changes that affect accommodation, dates or the length of the tour must be agreed with our office in advance. We pass on any cost charged to us by hotels, camps or guides, and we always tell you the amount before proceeding.

6. If We Cancel or Change Your Tour

If we have to cancel or materially alter your tour for reasons outside our control — extreme weather, road or border closures, civil disruption or similar — we will offer you a comparable alternative itinerary, alternative dates, or a refund for the portion of the tour not delivered.

We are not liable for costs outside the tour itself, such as flights, visa fees or airport hotels. That is precisely the gap travel insurance exists to cover.

7. Minor Itinerary Changes

Occasionally a specific hotel or camp becomes unavailable, or a road is closed. Where that happens we substitute accommodation of an equivalent or better standard and keep the shape of the itinerary intact. A substitution of this kind is not a cancellation and does not trigger a refund.

8. How Refunds Are Paid

Refunds are returned by the same method you used to pay — to your PayPal account or to the bank account the transfer came from. We cannot redirect a refund to a different person or account.

Bank charges, card fees and currency conversion costs are not refundable, as they are taken by the payment provider rather than by us.

9. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in our prices. We strongly recommend every traveller holds a policy covering trip cancellation and curtailment, medical treatment and repatriation, and personal belongings. Where a cancellation falls outside what we can refund, your insurer is usually the route to recovering it.

10. If Something Goes Wrong

Tell us while you are still in Morocco if you can — most problems can be fixed on the spot, and almost none can be fixed after you fly home. If you are still unhappy afterwards, write to moroccotouroffer@gmail.com and we will respond.
