Planning a trip to Morocco Private Tours

Every tour on this site is private, so this page is simply all of them in one list. It is worth being clear about what "private" means here, because the word is used loosely in Moroccan travel.

It means the vehicle is yours and nobody else is booked into it. It means the driver-guide works for your group alone, so you can stop where you like, leave later, or cut a stop short because everyone would rather have lunch. It means departure dates are yours to choose rather than picked from a calendar of fixed departures, and the itinerary is a proposal we adjust before you pay.

What it does not mean is a private guide inside every city. Morocco licenses city guides separately, and for places like the Fes medina we bring in a licensed local guide for the day — that is a better experience than a driver improvising, and we will tell you when it is included and when it costs extra.

Questions about Morocco Private Tours

Does private cost much more than a group tour?

Per person it depends almost entirely on how many of you there are, because the vehicle and driver cost the same for two people as for six. For couples the gap is real; for a family or a group of four or more it narrows sharply and often disappears.

Can we change the plan once we have started?

Within reason, yes — that is most of the point. Skipping a stop, adding an hour somewhere or swapping an afternoon is usually fine on the day. Changes that alter where you sleep need a little notice so we can move the booking.

Is the driver also our guide?

Yes for the road, the landscape and the practicalities, and our drivers are Moroccan and know these routes well. For a deep dive into a specific medina we bring in a licensed city guide, which is a legal requirement in Morocco as well as a better experience.
